Hand Techniques

Jab, Cross, Hook and Uppercut are the punches found in all boxing related fighting arts.

A kickboxer has a few additional hand techniques such as Elbows, Backfist Strikes and Spinning Backfist Strikes.

At Blaze we also have access to a few more taken from Tae Kwon Do and Karate, such as the Palm Strike and the Ridgehand Strike.

These additional techniques allow the Blaze student to attack at different distances and angles.

The Spinning Backfist Strike

Posted on in Hand Techniques

The Lead Elbow Strike

Posted on in Hand Techniques

The elbow strike is one of the kickboxer’s most vicious weapons and has the potential to end a fight very quickly.  Use it for real with extreme caution!
